The man behind the helmet looks at me like he hates me. So why can't I stay away?

At thirteen, I destroyed everything.
At twenty-five, I saved a stranger on the edge—
a stranger who makes my pulse race and my heart ache in equal measure.
I should’ve known danger when I saw it. I should’ve run.
Because Moth isn’t just dark and broken—he’s the boy whose life I shattered.
And now he’s the only man who can save me.

What happens when your enemy saves your life? Nothing. She still has to pay.

When I was thirteen, Alia killed my brother.
Twelve years later, she saved me from jumping off a bridge—
not realizing that the man behind the helmet came back for revenge.
Alia thinks fate brought us together. It didn’t. I did.
But when her stalker ex becomes dangerous, she turns to me for protection.
And the closer I get, the harder it is to tell the difference between revenge and obsession.

Tropes: True enemies to lovers / Stalker ex / Found family / Obsessive and protective MMC / Morally grey MMC / Touch her and die / Bookstore owner / Masked biker

Sweet Revenge is part one of the Vengeance Unhinged series by Lyra Wilde. This story is a dark, enemies to lovers romance (M/F).

Lyra Wilde’s writing kept me turning the pages, and I really enjoyed following Moth and Alia’s story. Their relationship had several moments that made me cheer them on, and I found myself invested in seeing where the plot would take them.

Going into the book, I didn’t realize it was more of an insta-lust romance. I usually prefer a slower burn because I love when the romantic tension builds over time, so I found myself missing that anticipation once the characters got together. The spice itself was well written, it just wasn’t my preferred pacing.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story and would definitely read more from Lyra Wilde in the future.
