When I first started Idol, I wasn’t sure it was going to be a book for me. The writing took me a little while to get used to, and I never fully connected with the characters the way I normally like to. At times they felt a bit distant, which made it harder for me to become emotionally invested in their journey.

That said, the plot kept me turning the pages. As the story progressed, I found myself wanting to know what would happen next, and by the end I was genuinely glad I stuck with it. There was a twist near the ending that completely caught me off guard. It wasn’t one of those twists that made me rethink everything that came before, but it was still a fun surprise that I didn’t see coming.

Overall, while I never formed a strong emotional connection with the characters, I still found Idol to be an entertaining read with an engaging storyline that grew on me the further I read. If you’re someone who enjoys an intriguing plot this is worth picking up.
