Uncle’s reward is a taboo (uncle/niece), age gap romance (MF).
His Reward is a dad’s best friend, age gap romance. (MF).
His Reward is not blood related whereas Uncle’s Reward is.
I will say that I read and enjoyed both versions. While a quick read, the back and forth tension was good and I loved the slightly dark tone of it. Mal and June bonded after he saved her from a fire when she was a child and from there things just blossomed once Mal moves in with June when they are much older. Mal is absolutely obsessed and protective of June, which I adore! There is some some non/dub con and other triggers so make sure you read those as your mental health matters!
