Let me start out by saying I am not a car person, but boy, did I want a ride in Silas’ car with him.
This book is a paranormal, monster, dark romance (MF). This was a fun little novella about a FMC (Dani) and her love for fast cars. Her interest in cars eventually takes an unlikely turn when the mysterious and possessive MMC (Silas) appears. This story had some action, fast cars, and tension between the main characters which I really liked. Dani was a bit mouthy and that got her in trouble in the best ways so I enjoyed her interactions with Silas. The spice was good also.
This was a good novella for the Halloween season with the supernatural aspects in it. I found myself getting lost in the lore of the vampires and wanted to know more. I wish it had been longer, but it was worth the read.
When reading any book, especially dark romance, please pay attention to the tropes and triggers. Your mental health matters!
